Philippine Fashion Week - 2016 Holiday Collections

This is the 20th anniversary of the Philippine Fashion Week and their Holiday 2016 Collections as well. Happened on May 28 - 29, 2016 at Discovery Primea, Makati City, Philippines.

And here are my best collections, as usual, I am picking just the best collections of each respected designers.

Here are the designers on the first day, such;

CELINE BORROMEO

Celine Borromeo Drawing inspiration from men’s clothing —the classic details, prints and silhouettes — Celine Borromeo’s La Femme Debonaire is a collection with a masculine appeal conveyed through a feminine approach.

MELCHOR GUINTO x  MISFIT

Expertly crafted, with classic materials such as wool and cotton, and some playful patterns to offset the streamline of his tailoring, Melchor’s latest anthology brings a high-end, elegant, and luxurious–if not slightly dark and brooding–men’s (and menswear-inspired women’s) clothing.

ARNOLD GALANG

This one of my best collections this season. Kudos sir Arnold! The next installment in his series of peace collections, sir Arnold Galang brings back the stories of his journey as an advocate with Coalescent Culture: The Peace Collection Series.

Sir Arnold Galang's collection this season of Philippine Fashion Week really struck me the most. He is always one of my favorite for injecting Peace Advocacy into Fashion Industry. And as a Muslim, this really made me proud seeing one of the models (Happy Mohammad) who did the catwalk wore veil. Thank you Sir Arnold Galang

Noel Crisostomo

Jerome Salaya Ang x Sonix

And here are the day 2 designers:

JARED SERVANO

Fresh from his win as Project Runway Season 4 first runner-up, Albong Odyssey, Jared Servano’s Holiday 2016 collection, is a lesson in fusion. "Albong," the B'laan term for a woman's dress, travels through various creative manipulations with Jared Servano’s aesthetics–going through a transformation with different styles and fashion inspirations.

Jeffrey Rogador x The Coop Idea

What do we expect! Sir Jeffrey, again never failed me, if I am going to rank them all, his collection is again the BEST of them all. Colorful and youthful, this is how I described his collection. Inspired to pay tribute to Philippine tribes ―its culture, art and fabrics―JR Holiday 2016, together with PowerMac Center: The Coop Idea is entitled Prints & Patterns. Straightforwad, chic, and ultimately wearable, Jeffrey Rogador’s Holiday 2016 offering is an explosion of loud colors, bold prints and shapes, plus rich textures.

Mabuhay ka JR! The Best!

Jun-jun Cambe for EsAc

Sir Jun-Jun ("again?" He asked me, because i always took picture with him every season of Philippine Fashion Week, because I admire him so much with his collection, and never failed again, the collecions are Fantastic!) The Holidays are truly a time for all sorts of opulence. At EsAc, prime designers AudieAE and Jun-Jun Cambe create a host of looks to match every personality headed for the runway this season.

Sidney Perez Sio x Moshi

Something PINK! This is how I discreibed Sidney's collections this season.

True to his heart–from shades of pink, rose patterns, and a striking contrast of black for resentment. A bold mix of athleisure and traditional Filipino garb. Presenting 10,000 Joys, 10,000 Sorrows

Amir Sali

Cherry Samuya Veric x Casemate

Couture! Sir Cherry's collection is Fantastic, especially when the finale dress came-out the runway, the crowd screamed and cheering.

Entitled Viva!, Cherry Samuya Veric–known previously for dripping laceworks and ornamented appliqués–trades his signature intricacy for bolder patterns that elongate the body, to give the form a new kind of presence and solidity.
